Up to 80% non-repayable funding for installing photovoltaic panels on the roofs of barns, stables, and agri-food structures. With €789 million available, it is the largest PNRR measure for energy efficiency in agriculture.
The Ministry of Agriculture has launched the Parco Agrisolare Facility measure with a decree dated December 17, 2025 (published in the Official Gazette on February 5, 2026), allocating €789 million in PNRR funds for the installation of photovoltaic systems on the roofs of agricultural, livestock, and agri-food buildings. The non-repayable grant covers up to 80% of eligible expenses, with no use of productive agricultural land.
Agricultural entrepreneurs (including cooperatives), livestock businesses, and agribusinesses can apply for the call. Entities with a VAT turnover below €7,000 are excluded. Applications must be submitted through the GSE platform. Projects must be completed within 18 months of approval, with final reporting due by December 31, 2028.
For an average farm, this measure represents a tangible opportunity to reduce electricity bills by up to 80%, with virtually no investment required thanks to the grant. It is advisable to monitor potential reopening of the call or new application windows, given the high level of interest observed.
